Tanning has been an age-old problem. We all get really conscious when there are two different skin tones visible on our face or even hands and feet. The exposed areas of the skin get tanned in spite of using a good sunscreen. Not to forget, sometimes the tan is so bad that there are nearly 4-5 different tones of skin visible all over your body. Since now we use face masks due to the current situation, some of us even face two different tones of skin on the face itself which makes us really conscious, so how can we get rid of this sun tan? Earlier we relied on those expensive de-tan treatments at beauty parlors but the last few months have taught us the importance of our very own home remedies. These lovely de-tan packs can be made from some very common ingredients already stocked up in your kitchen. So, let’s start!

1. Besan, Turmeric and Curd

Besan (Gram Flour) has been an age-old ally. Our grandmothers have often pestered us to get rid of those pesky face washes and instead use besan as a soap! So, here’s presenting our first homemade d tan pack.

Ingredients

Besan- 1 Tablespoon

Curd- 1 Tablespoon

Turmeric- a pinch

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl till you get a thick consistency solution. 
  2. Apply this evenly all over your face or exposed area of the skin. 
  3. Leave it on till the pack dries. 
  4. Wash it off with cold water. 
  5. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer

When used on alternate days, you will notice a visible difference in the tan lines within a fortnight!

2. Tomato Face Pack

Tomato is perfect to tone down the oil in your skin as well as to reduce pores. Surely a must try for all ladies specifically with the dual problem of tan and oily skin.

Ingredients:

Tomato- 1

Yogurt- 1 tablespoon

Lemon Juice- 1 Tablespoon

  1. Cut the tomato and obtain its pulp.
  2. Churn it together with yogurt till you get a smooth mixture.
  3. Add the lemon juice.
  4. Apply it evenly all over your face.
  5. Wash it off with cold water or a soaked sponge after 15 minutes.

You can use it few times a week as per requirement.

3. Cucumber and Lemon

Two simple ingredients but they bring together the coolness of cucumber and goodness of Vitamin C from the Lemon. Together they can help you in getting rid of that tan! A perfect anti tan DIY!

Ingredients:

Cucumber- 1

Lemon Juice- a few drops

  1. Peel the cucumber and mash it till you get a pulpy texture.
  2. Add the lemon juice and blend it with cucumber pulp
  3. Apply it over your face and wash off with cold water after 10-15 minutes.

Your skin will get visibly rejuvenated and brighter after a few uses.

4. Banana Face Pack

Who thought that bananas can be used as a face pack? But this one is really nice and easy to make especially if you have dry skin, a soothing homemade anti tan pack for your face.

Ingredients:

Banana- 1

Sugar- 1 tablespoon

Cream- 1 Tablespoon (optional for very dry skin)

  1. Mash the banana evenly till there are no lumps.
  2. Add the sugar (and cream) and mix it thoroughly.
  3. Apply it evenly over the face.
  4. Wash it off with lukewarm water after 10-15 minutes.

Your skin will feel soft and fresh!

5. Papaya Mask

Now this one is super easy! Papaya not only helps in smoothening the skin and removing blemishes but is also effective on tan!

Ingredients:

Papaya- Half Cup

Honey- 1 Tablespoon

  1. Mash the papaya.
  2. Add the honey and mix it well.
  3. Apply it all over your face.
  4. Wash off with water after 15-20 minutes.

Your skin will feel soft and smooth from the first time itself.

Note: Don’t forget to do a patch test before applying the packs. 

Though these homemade nuskhas don’t show results overnight but they are very effective and good for your skin. You no longer need to rely on artificial and chemical substances that can harm your skin in the long run. Gradually you will say bye-bye to tanned skin if you use these natural packs and at the same time your skin will feel pampered and loved!
