Valentine’s week of February - a most cherished celebration from the west.
Witnessing how Valentine's Day is celebrated around the world is beautiful. It doesn't matter whether you are single or have a partner, the mushy warm feelings leave no heart unattended. During Valentine's weekdays, you can engage in a variety of activities with your loved one to celebrate this week of love. We shall definitely talk about each and every day falling under the entire valentine’s day week list but let’s first talk about how it all started.
Why Valentine’s Day is Celebrated?
Valentine's Day may be identified with romance, but it doesn't precisely describe how the celebration came to be. The origins of Valentine's Day are much less romantic than the romantic imagery we associate with it today, such as Valentine’s day gifts, greeting cards, and tough-to-get candlelight dinner reservations.
Saint Valentine, a Catholic priest who lived in Rome in the third century, is the inspiration behind Valentine's Day.

Many Romans were turning to Christianity during Emperor Claudius II’s era who imposed restrictive laws on what Christians could and could not do. Claudius prohibited Roman soldiers from marrying because he thought they should wholly be loyal to Rome. It was during this time that St Valentine established a legacy for believing in the importance of love by marrying these soldiers in secret Christian ceremonies.
St Valentine was ultimately caught and imprisoned for his crimes against Claudius. Valentine provided care for his fellow prisoners as well as the blind daughter of his jailer while he was jailed. According to history, Valentine healed the girl of her blindness, and his last act before being put to death was to send her a love letter entitled "from your Valentine." Valentine was put to death on February 14th, 270.

More than 200 years passed before February 14th was officially designated as St. Valentine's Day. During this time, Rome had converted to Christianity, and the Catholic Church aimed to eliminate any remaining primitive rituals.
Every year, a traditional ritual took place in February. The Bishop banned this ritual and declared February 14 to be Saint Valentine's Day, adding this feast day to the Catholic Calendar of Saints.
The medieval poet Chaucer was the first person to associate St. Valentine with passionate love. This was the start of the custom of romance, an often-secret ritual of expressing love and appreciation.
How to make the 7 days of Valentine’s Day extraordinary for your Special Someone?

7th February - Rose Day
Undoubtedly a red rose is a classic symbol of love. But if your special someone loves any other flower then you must opt for that. Sending flowers is a universal form of showing you care.
Men too love receiving flowers. Over 60% of men said they would "love" to get flowers, according to a survey by the Society of American Florists. A bouquet of flowers is an unexpected way to show your admiration for your man, especially if he's difficult to shop for. So, if you are confused about valentine’s day gift ideas for husband or boyfriend, you are at least sorted for rose day!
Never forget to accompany your flowers with a heartfelt handwritten note to seal the deal. If you are someone in a long-distance relationship with your partner, take advantage of the amazing online flower delivery services.

8th February - Propose Day
The celebration for this day really depends on where you are in your relationship at this point. You are planning to propose for the first time or you are a happily married couple for years now, which plays a pivotal role. If it is the first, it ought to be one-of-a-kind for your partner.
I feel this is something that really depends on the couple and their love story. Proposals are extremely special. It has to be unique, memorable, and completely centered around you and your partner. So, here I would leave you with only one tip: make sure you have as many things as you can have that make your partner smile and keep it simple and hearty. You really don’t need much else.

If you are someone in a long-distance relationship, make sure you send them a handwritten love letter filled with promises, illustrations of Cupid, hearts, and flowers, as well as lace and ribbon.
