Alia Bhatt

You might have just known this young actress for her acting prowess but Alia is a successful entrepreneur as well. And she is not just running one but two successful businesses! Yes you heard us right. She launched her own production house this year called Eternal Sunshine Productions. And the first movie that they’ll be producing under this banner is ‘Darlings’ starring herself, Shefali Shah, Vijay Verma & Roshan Mathew. This movie will be co-produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The other venture that Alia recently launched is her very own conscious clothing label for children called Ed-a-mamma. The line caters to kids in the age group of 2-14 years.

Anushka Sharma

Did you know that Anushka has been running a production house since 2013? Well, yes she co-founded Clean Slate Filmz, a production company with her brother Karnesh about 8 years ago. And we hear that she is super involved with every stage of film production for her banner. The movies that they have produced so far are Phillauri, Pari, Bulbbul and Paatal Lok.

Sushmita Sen

Actor and beauty queen Sushmita Sen has been breaking stereotypes and inspiring women since the beginning of her career. This single mom of two is also an entrepreneur who runs two successful ventures. One is a production company called Tantra Entertainment and the other is a jewellery retail store in Dubai called Renee Jewellers.  

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif joined the list of celebrity entrepreneurs by launching her beauty brand Kay Beauty in 2019. The brand was launched in partnership with India’s largest beauty retailer, Nykaa. Her vision was to provide ultra-glam, long lasting & high-performance makeup products. The brand recently launched a foundation range with 20 diverse shades, which shows that they are trying to be inclusive and cater to as many Indian women as possible.

Rihanna

Rihanna launched her beauty brand Fenty Beauty back in 2017. And since then the brand has taken the world by storm! It is one of the most inclusive beauty brands that we have come across as their foundation range has 50 shades. Yes, she paved the way for beauty brands to be inclusive to all skin tones. If that wasn’t enough, Rihanna also recently launched her skincare line called Fenty Skin.

Kylie Jenner

If there’s any beauty brand that went viral and had their products sell out as soon as they were launched, it is Kylie Cosmetics. She was just 18 when she launched the brand in 2015 with her Kylie Lip Kits which got popular from the get-go. 

Twinkle Khanna

Twinkle’s career in acting might have seen ups and downs but she has been very successful in everything else that she has done. She ventured into interior designing after quitting her acting career & has designed the interiors for many Bollywood celeb homes. She also co-owned ‘The White Window’, a home decor store. Besides that she is the co-founder of the production company, Grazing Goat Pictures. If that wasn’t enough she took to her passion for writing and her newspaper columns and books have been an instant hit with her readers. Twinkle is also the owner of Tweak India which is a digital media company. 

Selena Gomez

Selena took on entrepreneurship with the launch of her beauty label Rare Beauty in 2020. The brand’s ethos lies in breaking down unrealistic standards of perfection and encouraging people to celebrate who they are. Their range of products includes primers, foundations, concealers, lipsticks, and makeup brushes.

Deepika Padukone

You would be surprised to know that Deepika is an active investor in startups. With her company ‘KA Enterprises’ she has invested in startups like Purplle, Furlenco and Epigamia. She also co-owns the fashion label ‘All About You’ with Myntra.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Global icon, Priyanka Chopra has now donned the role of an entrepreneur as well. She has launched a restaurant in New York called ‘Sona’ which specialises in Indian cuisine. With her restaurant being the talk of the town, she also launched her own hair care brand called Anomaly. This brand is vegan and cruelty free and the products are free from SLS and parabens.
