Peanut Butter Jam Sandwich

What can be better than a sandwich? Well, let’s add two thing kids love - peanut butter and jam! As easy as a breeze, this one is an easier twist to the traditional peanut butter jelly sandwich, here’s the recipe:

Peanut Butter Jam Sandwich

All you need is:

2 Tablespoon Peanut Butter
1 Tablespoon Mixed Fruit Jam
2 Slices of White Bread
1 Teaspoon Butter

Recipe

1. Pop the bread into a toaster.
2. Once it pops out, spread the butter on both bread pieces.
3. Follow next with the peanut butter on one slice of bread and jam on the other.
4. Club them together.

And time to just gobble it up! Make a few more in similar way.

P.S.- Make sure to give your child plastic knives for spreading the jam and peanut butter. You can give them a spoon too. Avoid using a knife completely.

Chocolate Balls

Unanimously all kids love CHOCOLATE. So, when we talk about cooking with kids, we cannot miss having a chocolate recipe. Combining two of the favorites- Parle G and Chocolate, so here you go!

1 Tablespoon Ghee
Sweetened sprinkles (optional)

1. Crumble the biscuits into a powder (You can help your kids by grinding the biscuit in a mixie)
2. Add the cocoa powder and ghee to the biscuit powder.
3. Mix well.
4. Add in the milk to make soft dough consistency.
5. Form small laddus. (This is the part children enjoy the most!)
6. Sprinkle with sweetened sprinkles for added crunch!

P.S.- You can also add in a filling of nuts of your choice between the laddus to make them healthier.

Mixed Sprouts Chaat

Eating healthy is important. But something like sprouts is one thing that kids run away from. But not when they make something from it on their own, and that too a CHAAT! So, let’s get going.

Mixed Sprouts Chaat

Ingredients:

1 Cup Mixed Sprouts
½ Cup Paneer (Cut in cubes)
½ Cup Assorted vegetables (chopped or grated)
Pepper: ¼ Teaspoon
Salt: To taste
Lemon Juice (Half Lemon)
Chaat Masala: ¼ Teaspoon
Green Chutney: 1 Tablespoon
Tamarind Chutney: 1 Tablespoon

Recipe

1. Veggies and paneer chopping will require adult supervision.
2. Ask the kids to gather all things one by one starting from sprouts, paneer and veggies followed by chutneys and spices into the bowl (apart from lemon juice).
3. Then toss, toss, toss!
4. If children find it difficult to toss a big quantity, help them shift a portion into a smaller bowl but definitely let them mix it themselves!
5. Finally add the lemon juice and ENJOY fresh sprouts chaat!
