If there is one outfit that has stood the test of time and will continue to do so in the future, it is the saree. Trends may come and go but a saree will always stay fashion. It is evergreen, stylish and a must have in any woman’s wardrobe. What’s best is that this 6 or 9 yards of pure elegance looks beautiful on all body shapes and sizes. And what’s better is that one can also experiment with various types of draping & styling a saree to experiment with their look and switch things up.

Speaking of switching things up, while traditional saree shopping had us heading to the markets and spending hours on our feet and in the shops, things have certainly changed now. There are many brands selling sarees online. And with the pandemic still not looking to make a move, shopping online seems to be the safest best. Which is why we are here with a list of our favourite saree brands that we found online. You can also rest assured that the quality of their products is good and we promise you wouldn’t have to think twice before ordering from them online. Not only do we love what they have to offer but also the fact that they are inspiring us to wear sarees and wear them more often. We hope they make you feel the same way. Scroll down to know more about these amazing brands and their timeless sarees.

  1. Suta

https://suta.in/

Started by two sisters Sujata and Tanya (Su and Ta), Suta was born out of the urge to provide weavers and their families with better livelihoods. The sisters saw the amazing skills and craftsmanship the weavers had but were shocked to know about their lack of work and menial wages. Which is when they took the plunge into the industry and started working with weavers to make sarees. 5 years later, Suta is thriving as they are working with weaving communities from across the country to bring to us some gorgeous sarees that are beautifully made, comfortable to wear and effortlessly stylish. They also have a range of trendy blouses, lehengas, baby wear, home stuff and other accessories to shop from on their website.

2. Margazhi

Brainchild of Madhulika Kapilvayi, Marghazi designs has a cult following on Instagram. And rightly so as the brand brings traditionally woven sarees in a myriad of colours with a twist. The addition of patchwork or a different pallu and attached borders makes these sarees unique and fresh. You can take your pick from Madurai Kattams to gorgeous Chinnalpattus, Tussar silks, Mangalgiri cottons, Banarasi soft silks, Chanderi silks and patchwork sarees. What’s best about Marghazi is that they show unique and interesting ways of styling these sarees with different kinds of jewellery and blouses. You’ll be hooked and needless to say inspired.
