Home remedies for period cramps

I never had period cramps before but since last 2-3 months, I have started getting crazy cramps . Any suggestions on home remedies to overcome this?

I use Dysmin, its a homeopathic tablet. So no side effects. Also sometimes fizzy drinks help me.

I too suffer from cramps a lot and the one thing that has helped me is drinking hot water with a pinch of turmeric in it!

Hot water bags works best for me when on my period. Also, people usually avoid coffee but it works wonders for me.
