Pro Tip: All of these masks are made up of natural ingredients and will do no wrong to your skin, a patch test is always recommended before going in for trying any of these out.

Here are the 5 Efficacious DIY Beauty Masks-

1. Fuller’s Earth pack for treating oily skin and acne 

 

Ingredients needed- 

Fuller’s earth (multani mitti)

Aloe vera gel 

Sandalwood powder 

Rosewater 

Process- Mix one spoonful of fuller’s earth, add aloe vera gel, add half a tablespoon of sandalwood powder, and a few drops of rose water to make a paste of medium to a thick consistency. 

Apply this paste on your entire face and neck and let it dry for about 15-20 minutes. 

Once it dries, wash or wipe it off with a wet cloth. 

Results- Applying this mask about 2 to 3 times a week will give you oil-free skin and will also help in reducing acne. 

2. Gram flour and turmeric pack for de-tan (normal to dry skin)

 

Ingredients- 

Gram flour (besan)

Turmeric 

Lemon juice

Milk cream (malai)

Honey 

Process- Mix two tablespoons of gram flour, add a pinch of turmeric, add a few drops of lemon juice, add half a tablespoon of milk cream(malai), and half a teaspoon of honey. Mix the ingredients well to form a paste of medium to a thick consistency. 

Apply this paste on your face and neck and let it sit for around 15 to 20 minutes. 

Once it dries out, partially wet your face and scrub your face gently with the paste and then wash it off with lukewarm water. 

Results- You will notice a glow in your skin and using this mask twice a week will gradually help in getting rid of the tan and will even out your skin tone. 

3. Rice flour mask for pigmentation and brightening (all skin types)

 

Ingredients- 

Rice flour 

Aloe vera gel 

Cucumber juice 

Process- Take two tablespoons of rice flour, add a sufficient quantity of aloe vera gel and add two tablespoons of cucumber juice. Mix the paste well to form a thick paste. 

Apply it to your face and leave it for a good 20 minutes. Once it dries off, scrub it well gently on your face and wash it off with cold water, and pat dry. 

Results- You will see a visible difference in your skin texture. Your skin will get instantly brightened up and using the mask twice every week will dull the appearance of the dark spots and pigmentation on your face. 

4. Coffee and honey mask for dark circles (all skin types)

 

Ingredients-

Coffee 

Honey 

Process- Take one tablespoon of coffee and add equal amounts of honey into it and mix well to form a thick paste. 

Apply the paste under your eyes and make sure you keep your eyes safe. After 15 minutes it will feel sticky and will start drying out a bit. You can then gently massage it around your eyes with wet fingers and wash it off with cold water. 

Results- You will see a major difference in the undertone of your eyes and your dark circles and puffiness under the eyes will be reduced. Using this mask over time can fetch you some really good results. 

5. Fuller’s earth and green tea mask for acne (all skin types)

 

Ingredients- 

Fuller’s earth (multani mitti)

Green tea (any)

Honey (if you have dry skin)

Aloe vera gel (for oily skin)

Process- Mix two tablespoons of fuller’s earth with one tablespoon of green tea. Add honey or aloe vera gel depending upon your skin texture and mix well to form a paste of medium to a thick consistency. 

Apply this paste on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. When it dries out completely, wash your face with lukewarm water and pat dry. 

Results- Due to the presence of antioxidants in green tea, it will help fight the bacterias present in the acne and the fuller’s earth will help control the sebum in your skin. Aloe vera will act as a soothing agent and honey will give you tight and glowy skin.
