The first step towards travelling on a budget is to be as accommodation-friendly as possible. Luxury stays and 5-star hotels are something you should cut off of your list as they may put additional pressure on your pocket. Consider staying in dorms or sharing rooms. If you are a solo traveller, sharing a room can be the best option as this may be a chance to know someone with similar interests. Try looking for pictures and reviews of the hostels or hotels you are considering. Outdoor camping is another budget-saving option worth checking out!
