Winter Special - Bajra Vada (Pearl Millet Vada)

Here's a delectable winter special recipe that most Gujaratis swear by - Bajra Vadas. These crispy vadas are yummy, delicious and something that you must try this winter. Trust us when we say this, once you've had these vadas, they'll soon become one of your favourite winter snacks. Follow the recipe and make these at home. Ingredients
2 tbsp jaggery (add Water as required in jaggery)
1 Cup Bajra Flour / Pearl millet Flour
1/2 cup Wheat Flour
1 Cup Fenugreek Leaves
2 tbsp Coriander
1 tbsp Ginger
1 tbsp Green Chilli
1 tbsp Spring Garlic Chopped
2 tbsp Sesame Seeds (rosted)
1 tbsp Achar Masala
1 tsp Carom Seeds
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1 tsp Coriander Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tbsp Red Chilli powder
1/2 Tsp fruit Salt
3 tbsp Curd
Pinch of asafoetida
Salt to Taste
Procedure
1. Take 2 tbsp jaggery and soak it in water till it melts.
2. Mix all the above ingredients and add jaggery water to the mix.
3. Knead the dough to medium softness.
4. Take a little oil to grease your palm. Now take a ball of dough in your hand, roll it tight and then flatten it to make a tikki shape.
5. Heat oil for deep frying.
6. Fry the tikkis in medium high flame till they are golden brown.
7. Take them out on a tissue paper to remove excess oil.
8. Bajra Vada are ready to serve!
