The Asian Para Athletic Games 2023, held in Hangzhou, China, witnessed an incredible performance by women para-athletes from various countries. The games were held from October 21 to October 28, 2023, and saw participation from 44 National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) in 22 disciplines.

India recorded its best-ever medal haul in the history of the Asian Para Games, securing a total of 111 medals, including 29 gold, 31 silver, and 51 bronze. Women para-athletes played a significant role in this achievement. Nithya Sre won a bronze medal in the women's singles SH6 badminton event, bringing India's breakthrough 73rd medal.
